Denim Tears on Kakobuy Spreadsheet
Denim Tears on the Kakobuy spreadsheet runs across hoodies, tees, jeans, shorts, short sets and tracksuits — almost all of it carrying the cotton wreath motif the label is built on. There is a backpack and an Offset collaboration tee in the grid too.
The wreath denim is in pants, the fleece in hoodies, all on the Kakobuy Spreadsheet.
The cotton wreath is the whole garment
Denim Tears is essentially one motif applied across a wardrobe: the cotton wreath, printed as a repeating all-over pattern on jeans and hoodies or as a single large placement on tees. Because it is a repeat, the checks are the ones you would apply to any patterned garment — is the spacing even across the leg or the chest, does the pattern continue sensibly across a seam, and is the wreath the same size everywhere it appears.
On the denim specifically, the wreaths are printed onto the fabric rather than woven in, so the ink has to sit into the weave and survive the wash the jeans were given. Look at whether the print has softened evenly with the denim or whether it sits on top as a hard film, and check the wash tone against the listing shots — indigo drifts lighter and darker between runs, and on a heavily printed jean that shift changes how the whole piece reads.
The short sets, listed here in grey, navy and black, are two-piece and need the same confirmation any set does: that both pieces are included and that the two halves came out of the same dye run. Fit is boxy and true to size across the fleece. The backpack and the Offset tee are the outliers in this grid. All prices are USD with a direct link.
